Extra Curricular Activities
Life at Nalanda is an approach for the all-round development of our young learners. From a strong academic foundation to the development of child’s physical, spiritual and emotional personality our way is about holistic development in its true sense. Our physical activities like yoga, drill exercises, outdoor sports and dance competitions are a step in this direction.
Extra Curricular Activities are:
- Bhagavad Gita Recitation: The text Instructs on how one must elevate the mind and soul to look beyond appearances. Reciting the Bhagavad Gita introduces us to the truth about life and helps us attain freedom from superstition and false beliefs. It builds our confident and tells us to think well before we act.
- Yoga: “Yoga does not change the way we see things , it transforms the person who sees”.
- Music: it leads to better brain development, increases human connection, improves grades, helps to socialise and even lower stress levels.
- Drawing: Drawing means they are constantly thinking or feeling something, so what they choose to draw, patterns they use and the story they try to portray helps them build in their knowledge and visual skills. Their fine motor and coordination skills increases as well.
- Sports & Recreation: Various sporting events are organized that are recreational as well as competitive.
- Dance: Classical dance elevates our feelings, makes us speak without words. It is rhythmic, expressive elegant and passionate. It makes you beautiful calm and charming. Dance is the joy of movement and the heart of life.
